I will follow

I was in the van as well when I wrote this poem, but by the time I got around to this one... things had kind of died down, but the tension was still there.



You put me in this world for a reason,
But I can only imagine what that reason is.
Did you put me here to help my broken family find you?
Did you put me here to write some famous book?
Or did you maybe put me here to save someone’s life?
I always wonder what my purpose is for you God.
All I know is that I want to follow the path you have set for me.
Even though it may get hard I will follow that path.
I will follow you God.
And will make it to heaven so I can be with you.

Help Me

As some of you know... I don't have the best Christian parents... I was in the back of our van listening to my parents and my older sister argue with eachother. I was so frustrated with everything and upset I just opened my notebook and started writing.


I am living in an evil world
So many dark places to turn
My family is fighting
I am crying
I need you to help them learn
Help them learn about you God
My savior my Lord Jesus Christ
For I know what they are going through
Because I know they have yet to find you
This is one of my strongest prayers
The weight of my family is too much to bear
To bear alone that is
I’ve tried to stop the fighting
And I’ve tried to stop my tears
The only way to save them
Is through you
Please help them
I can’t do this alone
I can do nothing without you
God just please help me
Help me help them

I Will Follow

I didn't really have anything behind this poem... I just wanted to write a cutesy poem that rhymed since most poems I write are free verse.



Lord my father,
Who is greater than all things.
You heal the sick, you feed the hungry,
You take away all pains.

You are my one true love.
You’re my king, my saving Lord.
You are my everything.
You are everything and more.

Because of you
I am who I am today.
I am nothing without you
What more can I say?

I will follow you always,
Through thick and through thin.
Nothing can stop me
I will follow you to the very end.

Introduction!

I enjoy writing poems, but mostly I enjoy writing poems about God and showing my love for him, or what I may be going through. It is my way of expressing myself, and I think it is a great way for me to vent. Before each poem I plan to write a little about the experience I was having at that moment of writing, so you guys will get a better feel of the situation, and see the poem more through my eyes. I hope you guys enjoy reading these poems as much as I enjoyed writing them.
